Set on a stunning location at the centre of the Polis Bay, right on a very long stretch of sandy beach and surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean orchards and gardens, the family-run Natura Beach Hotel and Villas, with renovated and new wings added in 2011, is a truly unique holiday retreat.
Figuring prominently over the horizon just a few kilometres away is the renowned Akamas nature reserve, a beautiful peninsula with several walking trails and an impressive coastline.
The immediate surrounding area has its own natural interest and during the summer months guests will notice numerous turtle nests along the beach which are monitored and protected by a local conservation centre.
The hedges surrounding the hotel orange groves are full of nesting birds while the swallows return each year to build their own nests on the walls of the hotel. During autumn and spring the Polis Bay becomes part of a main migrating route for a wide variety of water birds and guests can actually bird watch while enjoying the sunset from the hotel terrace.
Relaxing by the pool or basking in the sun on the spacious lawn will be hard to resist. But a walk along the endless beach or a mountain bike ride through the surrounding countryside is also recommended. The Natura Beach is a Padi Gold Palm Resort in association with a nearby Water Sports centre offering among others instruction in scuba diving at all levels. Also on offer are boat rides along the Akamas peninsula coastline.
Away from the noise of traffic and the activity of the town, while at the same time being only a 20-minute walk from the tavernas and coffee-shops of the Polis centre, the Natura Beach guarantees a peaceful and relaxing holiday close to nature. We are confident that by the time our guests are on their way back home, they will have already decided to do what the swallows do: come back next year!
